Bug#992265: SyntaxWarning: 'str' object is not callable, when installing

Hi Eriberto,

I started to look at this bug but I think it is an upstream issue. There is a suggested fix in a bug discussion at the upstream repo but has not been patched. It seems to be easy to fix.

I thought about applying a patch but there is no direct source in the debian package.
