Package: eom Version: 1.16.1-1 Severity: minor Dear Maintainer, Eom does not print/show any descriptive error messages. I am including some examples here: * For really large svg file (like the one that was reported in https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=912017) it shows only "Error displaying image" instead of showing correct image, or printing "Too large image" error. * For malformed svg file (attached), containing more begin/end tags, it shows "Error writing" instead of something like "Malformed file" * It would be nice, if some error messages were also printed to stderr, maybe more descriptive (like for malformed files it would be nice to see "Detected more </g> tags" error) * Also, button "Try again" (or what is original text in english) to reopen again file does not work. When I open malformed.svg and then edit it, delete "</g>" tag and click on try again button, only error message disappear, but does not open a file correctly.
