What is the exact specification of your graphics card? And what are the versions of the underlying Xserver? dpkg -l xserver-xorg-video-<drivername> And what version of libxpresent do you have? dpkg -l libxpresent1 Also, I assume, you are on Debian buster, correct?I don't see such an issue on any other system that I run MATE on. So, I am rather clueless...
