Hello Dr. Stammler, I'm not able to reproduce the issue on Debian Sid with latest Mate version.I need to be able to understand what is different between your machine and mine and the steps you follow and what I'm doing.
Could you please provide us the result of the following command:
dconf dump "/org/mate/panel/"
Do you launch applications to make the freeze? Do you have application running at startup? Do you have any easy steps to help me to reproduce the issue?
