As long as it doesn't add more noise, I think that'd be fine. However,
you already get emails for these changes, right? Or put another way,
you could choose to get an email for those things - each time there's
an issue raised, an MR proposed, or something committed. Wouldn't that
be more suitable than enabling KGB notifications on IRC?
