Debian LTS and ELTS - October 2023



Here is my public monthly report.

LTS

- Front Desk (week 40)
  - Mark 13 packages for update
  - Triage or precise triage for 15+ CVEs
  - Clean-ups/precisions in work queue

  - administrative help with non-team upload


ELTS

- Front Desk (week 40)
  - Associate CVEs from newer, branched Debian packages with different
    names to older ELTS packages (openssl*, golang*, python*,
    freerdp2*, php*)
  - Mark 10 supported packages for update
  - Triage or precise triage for 10+ CVEs
  - Clean-ups/precisions in work queue

- Supportability for packages with limited support (internal issue)
  - Feedback for golang* and gnupg1 packages


Documentation and tooling

- Work queue report (internal "find-work" tool)
  - Update and clarify long-term rewrite goals
  - Refactor and simplify code
  - Following last meeting, propose improved ordering/priority, taking
    into account package age in the queue (to be reviewed)
