I have prepared a security update to freetype and uploaded it to <https://people.debian.org/~benh/packages/squeeze-lts/>. However it doesn't have a test suite and I don't know what would be a good way to test for regressions. Any ad-hoc testing with the specific applications that people use freetype in would be appreciated. Any suggestions from the maintainers, likewise.
