I am using the Intel Modular Server hardware, it utilizes an embedded disk controller model: LSI* 1064E .
In Ubuntu 12.04 the operating system loaded and functioned correctly
Linux server 3.5.0-23-generic #35~precise1-Ubuntu SMP Fri Jan 25 17:13:26 UTC 2013 x86_64 x86_64
MODULES:

Since 12.10 the LTS will not load on that hardware.
LTS 14.04 will not load either.
Is this the correct place to post looking for an individual who could port the 12.03 code into the 14.04 tree?
