e2fsprogs has seen 2 recent updates:

I guess that you have the problem with the version 1.41.12-4+deb6u2,
right?

Do you also have the problem with the version 1.41.12-4+deb6u1? (You can
download the packages in the above links to test)

That way we can at least pinpoint the regression in a more specific
manner. Nguyen prepared the first update and Thorsten prepared the latter.
