Bug#888743: Info received (pidofproc returns PIDs in foreign chroots and containers)



PPS: Lets face it: The executable path alone is simply not suitable for
finding the PID. I might have run a second daemon listening on another
network interface, for example. I don't want that daemon killed just
because the "regular" daemon was already shutdown before.

What are the odds that the pidfile is lost without killing the daemon,
anyway? Looking at the scary side effects of this feature it might be
reasonable to kick out the path check completely and to rely upon the
pidfile only.

Would you recommend to deprecate src:lsb and replace it by a cleaned up
"lsbng"?
