Hi Marc and thanks for your bugreports,

While I understand the rationale behind your two bugs, I think that
extending the functions currently defined in lsb-base' init-functions to
support more start-stop-daemon arguments will mostly increase the
complexity, for little benefit.

The current lsb-base README.Debian explicitely says:

> Note: Debian packages probably should use start-stop-daemon directly;
> however, these functions may be useful in porting init scripts from
> other distributions.

And I think that this recommendation still holds.

So I am hereby tagging these two bugreports as +wontfix as _I_ won't do
the work, but also as +help: if someone wants to provide patches, I'll
happily review them.
