Package: live-build Version: 1:20230502 Severity: normal Tags: d-i X-Debbugs-Cc: phil@hands.com Reporting to live-build, but it probably needs to be handled somewhere else. Occasionally (but rather quite often) the bootwalk test on openQA fails when booting with UEFI secure boot. Especially 4:1:2 and 4:3:2 fail with the message from d-i: 'Your installation medium couldn't be mounted.' A screenshot often shows an empty black rectangle in grub, indicating that some messages should have been displayed, but openQA wasn't able to capture them. Perhaps a frame-by-frame analysis will show the messages. The number corresponds to EFI_LOAD_ERROR https://sources.debian.org/src/linux/6.5.6-1/include/linux/efi.h/?hl=32#L32 Enhancing UEFI logging (with kernel option `efi=debug` might help, but the current openQA test isn't written with optional kernel options in might.
