Irregular status update about reproducible live-build ISO images

Hello lists,

here is the 22th update of the status for reproducible live-build ISO images [1].

Single line summary: 97.7% reproducible live images

Reproducible status:
* All major desktops build reproducibly with bullseye, bookworm, trixie and sid ... ** ... provided they are built for a second time within the same DAK run (i.e. 6 hours) * All major desktops built reproducibly for the official Debian live images for bookworm (12.4.0) at any later moment ...
** ... except for KDE

Functionality status:
* The sid images are affected by #1051607 (Calamares installation on UEFI Secure Boot systems fails to boot after installation) * The sid images occasionally report missing installation media, when booting from USB in UEFI non-secure boot systems (#1054325) * The testing images have an issue in the installer, it attempts to use a static IP-address instead of using DHCP. MR is prepared [2]

My activities in January:
* Rebuilding all images for 12.4.0. Thanks to apt-cacher-ng, I saved 75GB downloaded files
* Only the KDE image for 12.4.0 has a different sha256sum
* Updates to openQA tests
* Fixes for udeb handling [2], preparing clipboard support when running under a VM [3]
* A local script will feed the official weekly live images to openQA
* Updated the documentation how the official Debian live images are built [1]

Work to be done:
* Adjust the content of the live-build image
** Fix the remaining reproducible issue in time before 12.5.0 (planned for February 2024)
* Many other things. See the TODO page [4]

With kind regards,
Roland Clobus
