Dear Maintainer,

*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***

   * What led up to the situation?
i used a Debian 9 i686 LiveCD to start a Lenovo thinkpad X1 Carbon (5th gen.) laptop, but i only get 1 GB ram detected but not as 3.2 GB (due to 32bit memory address maping).
   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?
just boot the Lenovo thinkpad X1 Carbon with Debian 9 Live CD.
   * What was the outcome of this action?
1 GB ram affected usage of the live system
   * What outcome did you expect instead?
3.2GB ram detection as other Live CD (*Ubuntu LTS livecd)
