Failing to build xfce-desktop image by myself

I tried to build the xfce-desktop image using:

$ mkdir live-images && cd live-images
$ lb config --config
git://anonscm.debian.org/debian-live/live-images.git::debian
$ cd images/xfce-desktop
$ sudo lb build

but this fails with no errors that I can see. Last lines of build.log are:

Preparing to unpack .../dctrl-tools_2.23_amd64.deb ...
Unpacking dctrl-tools (2.23) ...
Processing triggers for man-db (2.7.0.2-5) ...
Setting up dctrl-tools (2.23) ...
P: Begin unmounting filesystems...
P: Saving caches...
Reading package lists...
Building dependency tree...
Reading state information...

I tried same with images/standard and that worked.
I'm building this on Debian Jessie amd64.

Am I doing something wrong, or is this just broken at the moment?
btw, the 'lb config' part in live-manual example doesn't work at all,
so I changed that to something which seems to be ok.
