Yes thanks for your reply. I've been busy with work lately and so I'm in the process of checking that now.

And I forgot to indicate before that it's a stretch build.

That script has been working for jessie for some long time now though without error.

It looks likes any changes to /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf cause autologin to fail.

Is there another place where I can exec a scripts on login?
