Bug#861108: live-build: stretch image produced with default configuration does not boot

Package: live-build
Version: 1:20170213
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

Hi,

The image was built with:

$ lb config
$ sudo http_proxy=http://localhost:3142 lb build

And I tried to boot it in KVM with

$ kvm -cdrom live-image-amd64.hybrid.iso mydisk.img

I get the boot menu, but whether I select Live or Live (failsafe), it
hangs in a kernel panic saying the following:

  Kernel panic - not syncing: No working init found. Try passing init=
  option to kernel. See Linux Documentation/init.txt for guidance.
