Customizing Debian Live ...

 I have asked in the mailing list since by "Customizing" most people
mean changing the settings to one one's preferences

 I want to actually change a version of Debian Live itself and
recreate a new ISO image using as baseline the sources from which the
"Hybrid" ISO image files are built (say, debian-live-8.6.0-i386-kde)

$ uname -a
Linux debian 3.16.0-4-686-pae #1 SMP Debian 3.16.36-1+deb8u1
(2016-09-03) i686 GNU/Linux
user@debian:~$

 1) How do you remove the current versions of the jdk and firefox:

$ firefox -version
Mozilla Firefox 45.3.0

$ java -version
java version "1.7.0_111"
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (IcedTea 2.6.7) (7u111-2.6.7-1~deb8u1)
OpenJDK Client VM (build 24.111-b01, mixed mode)

 2) and install newer versions?

 3) install chromium

 4) install Eclipse

 recreate a Debian Live DVD with all the functionality of the first one

 I saw something like that a some time ago, but could not find it right now

 I am sure some of you have done such things
