It you affected by bug 
(https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=773833), could you 
try either a newer version of live-build or apply this patch 
(https://anonscm.debian.org/cgit/debian-live/live-build.git/commit/?id=5161dcdf3bb50a8be7385f86fdfc60b0eb700bfa)
