live-build is generally quite modular and supports multiple bootloaders already.

Patches for uefi bootloader templates are welcome for the development
version (5.x I think).

You should be able to write templates for 4.x as well but they are not
likely going to be included in the official package, especially if
they would require changes other than adding the templates.
