I have never needed to add the debian keyring. Live Build works without putting it in, probably because Live Build gets it itself.

I have added the debian mozilla keyring (for backports) and placed it in the /config/archives folder. If you read the debian mozilla page it tells you where to get the key as do many other 3rd party repositories.

What repository are you trying to add. Most will have instructions on where their key is located or at least how to get it.
