this exact configuration did work for me and produced a correct image,
see attached build log.

i suggest you do a rebuild from scratch in order to reproduce it with
above lb config in an empty directory, followed by 'lb build 2>&1 | tee
log'. feel free to reopen if the error persist and attach the complete
log file.
