It fact it was only named "live-persistence.conf" for a very short
while. Please, see the changelog. The problem is that if you are using
the version that is currently in testing you need to use the old name.

Sorry about that, the name in live-manual was modified accordingly to
the changes in the code. But again it also depends on which version of
live-* you are using.
