That's not a Debian Live issue, per se. The nonetworking option governs
boot-time network configuration. KDE and GNOME use NetworkManager by
default, and if it detects no /etc/network/interfaces configuration, it
will "take over", allowing the user to establish network connections. If
you want to prevent that, don't include network-manager among your
packages lists.
