Need help with config.conf and boot.conf syntax / layout

Hi,
I have been really looking over DL3 here and am just trying to
get my head around all the cool changes and I really like what I am
reading but, I can't seem to create these files (config.conf and
boot.conf) in a manor the system will accept. Are the commands coma
separated, line returned, do we need a config.conf="?" at the start of
the file? I have read the man pages several times and have tried all
of the above to no avail. A really quick example would go a very long
way here as the image built fine I just cant seem to boot it
properly......?
