live build 3.0~a29-1 creates iso that does not boot

When I build a generic sid /xfce/amd64 hybrid.iso the the resulting iso does not boot in qemu or virtual box.

Am I ignoring a required configuration argument?  On the boot screen I select live and hit enter and nothing happens.

#3.0~a29-1 live build on a system running  amd64 debian sid
