What's your kernel command line? You need parameter 'live-config'
(alias: 'config'), so that the live-config package generates a new user
during boot-up. BTW it's user 'user' and password 'live'. You're using
a standard, fully-featured sqashfs? Just asking, because if package
user-setup is missing, live-config won't be able to create users.
