there's nothing live specific about it: build a linux-2.6 and
linux-latest-2.6 (and, depending on your changes, also a linux-kbuil-2.6
for custom 3rd party oot-modules) package as usual, include it into a
repository, and enable that repository as usual with
config/chroot_sources mechanism.

anything different than that (and that is what you have probably found
by searching the archives) are just workaround for people not being able
to build proper linux-2.6 packages.
