isn't LB_BUILD_CHROOT respected by means of the lines following the patch, where the created "binary.sh" is executed with or without chroot accordingly?

thanks, however, it does call grub stuff from the host system which can
be or can not be the same as the target system.

therefore, could you please update it to respect, conditionally,
LB_BUILD_CHROOT and greps for the parameter in chroot/ ?
