live-helper 1.0.3 doesn't support powerpc.
either get debian-old-1.0 from live-helper.git if you insist on using
live-helper 1.0.x, or switch to live-helper 2.0 from sid (which installs
just fine on lenny).

that's why you don't need to do it in the first place: if you use
live-helper 2.0 and discover any bugs, and if you report them, then we
fix it for you.
