thanks for looking into it, it's an issue outstanding for quite some
time and sorry for the late answer.

initially, i wanted to apply it tonight, however, with the second look,
the mtools stuff looks really nasty. i'll have another look, probably
tomorrow evening or at latest during the weekend.
