I second this, that way a not-so-dumb adsl gateway with just dhcp and tftp can
dispatch debian live to a SOHO. Not a bad feature at all.

I'll prioritize that, for the sake of doing right the first time, or otherwise
nobody will enable this after the codebase grown a bit far.
Your list is really good, nothing more to add, maybe some GUI to configure/help
the trickiest runtime features (like e.g. persistence/snapshots).
I see that the once dreamed feature of really fast boot times using "some
default common" resume image are now abandoned-ware ;-)
