Duplicated directories

This problem concerns the netboot with cifs as root fs and 2.6.32
kernel. It is not appear in iso and other images and kernel 2.6.26 at
least. After booting I see duplicated directories at root level: /root,
/etc, /usr and /var and some others in deeper levels. More over, the
user does not created at boot time because of "usermod: command not
found", that point out (I think) that it is something wrong with file
system. 

I have reported this problem to kernel developers:

But I am not sure it is the kernel problem. Please, join discussion
