That looks ok.

It has been several years since I used the cifs, and I know you are
running a windows server, but with samba as the server I used these
parameters:

map to guest = Bad Password
guest account = root

[cifs-testing]
  comment = debian-live server
  path = /path/to/live
  read only = yes
  guest ok = yes
  locking = no

Do the logs on the windows server show any attempts to connect?
