RE: Installing the system from a running live CD?



Hi Daniel, thanks for the swift response - is the live-installer-launcher included in the version of Debian Helper for Lenny? If it works in text mode does that mean I would have to run it from a console session or would it run in a terminal? Finally does this only allow a netinstall or could it be used to install the live system like the live version of d-i does? Sorry for all the questions I am starting to get to grips with how it works and have made a few test isos. The only thing I need to resolve now is to find an accesible way for a blind user to install the live image to disk etc.

there's live-installer-launcher which allows to call d-i as an
application. it works for the text modus, but has a few glitches left.

this is fundamentally the wrong approach. any customization as well as
live systems should be done bottom-up, not top-down.
