Adapting Debian live to support Amazon EC2 custom instance creation



Building an Amazon EC2 custom image on debian or ubuntu is much like building a live system:

1)      Build OS on current filesystem (Use debootstrap, etc)

2)      Handling /dev etc

3)      Install software packages

4)      Customize init scripts

5)      Package the files

Are you aware of any work to adapt Debian live scripts to build AMI images for Amazon EC2 ?
