if you do 'apt-get update && apt-get install live-helper' and revert
your sources.list afterwards, this is safe and will not damage your system.

if you want to have sid repository permanently in your sources.list,
read man apt_preferences for pinning unstable lower than stable.

debootstrap is shell and the official used tool; cdebootstrap is
reimplementation in c, faster but usually less good supported.
