Heads-up -- some config directory semantics changing
Dear friends,
This is just a heads-up regarding some changes to live-helper in Git which
change the semantics of some of the configuration directories:
* config/chroot_local-packageslists
Contents of the package lists in this directory are no longer
automatically installed - you need to specify them in LH_PACKAGES_LISTS.
This makes this directory more flexible as you can leave unused package
lists around and install them when you specify them, and follows the
principle of least surprise with respect to the "system" folder of
package lists.
* config/chroot_local-includes
Not about this directory per-se, but the initramfs is now not refreshed
automatically after preparing the chroot. That means if you are
installing extra files for live-initramfs to execute, modifying splashy
themes (etc.) you will neeed to call the following from a chroot hook:
$ update-initramfs -u -k all
These changes will be appearing in live-helper 1.0 (amongst others), which
will be uploaded Real Soon Now.
Regards,
