boot parameters to syslinux/grub

Hi all,

I once saw a file describing the boot parameters for debian-live .. it 
might have been an etch version .. can't find it now .. but I think it 
was way out of date!

Is there a document someone can point me to for boot parameters?

This morning I finding myself going through an unpacked version of 
initrd1.img and examining scripts/live and scripts/live-bottom and 
creating my own list of definitions.

Would this be useful to anyone or am I re-doing something that has all 
ready been done?
