Debian Installer integration and image sizes
Hi all,
Just FYI (and because I have some data available right now!), here are the
ramifications on image size of the various Debian Installer integration
options:
* Netboot installer
ie. LH_DEBIAN_INSTALLER="businesscard|netboot|netinst" or when
LH_BINARY_IMAGES="net"
add 19 MiB
||
\/
* "Live" installer
ie. LH_DEBIAN_INSTALLER="live" and LH_BINARY_IMAGES != "net"
add 30 MiB
||
\/
* "Normal" installer
ie. LH_DEBIAN_INSTALLER="enabled|cdrom" and LH_BINARY_IMAGES != "net"
add 85 MiB
Some notes:
* Figures are cumulative.
* These were generated using live-helper from Git. If you use the current
released version you will notice that the "live" installer is + 110MiB (!)
and the normal installation is zero MiB on top.
* These figures include the graphical installer which is installed by
default on most archs - subtract 12 MiB if you remove it. This would
make live installation cost (19+30-12 =) 37MiB.
