Can't open /scripts/live on boot

I built packages for live-helper and live-initramfs from git this
morning, installed live-helper locally, and copied
live-initramfs_1.118.1-1_all.deb to config/chroot_local-packages.

On boot, I get:

Begin: Mounting root file system... ...
/init: .: 167: Can't open /scripts/live
Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init!

lh_build has an exit status of 0.

Does live-initramfs get rm'd before the filesystem is created? It has
an installation code of 'rc' in packages.txt.

I am using:
# lh_config -a i386 -b usb-hdd -d sid \
--packages "squashfs-tools ntfs-3g util-linux less smartmontools" \
--username diarctil --hostname diarctil --syslinux-timeout 2

# sudo time -p lh_build

Any suggesitions?
