[PATCH] Exclude directories from any root filesystem

The patch looks OK for me now, the only thing that could be improved
is to use rm -r instead of rm -rf so you'll get errors if rm fail.
If you can, do a git clone, apply the patch and make the tree
available for me to grab the fix. I can help you on that, on IRC.
