Combining a live-cd with a bootcd for usb

Already supported, at boot prompt from a (minimal) live cd 
type: "from_media=/dev/sdb1" if your usb is /dev/sdb1, maybe you could also 
need some timeouts, look at live-initramfs manpage for options.
