you can't cross-build an image.
the architecture you are running must be able to execute the binaries
for the target architecture. means, e.g. building i386 on amd64 works
(and vice versa if the right kernel is installed).
i'll add a check for host and target architecture, so that it
live-helper refuses to build in such cases.
