This is likely due to the recent change where `dpkg` will now always provides a default for `Section` and `Priority` field as discussed on in https://lists.debian.org/debian-dpkg/2024/12/msg00010.html.
When fixing this, keep in mind that `dpkg` in stable will not provide the default, so you may need some suite/dpkg-version based conditionals in play to solve this fully.
