Hi, Lintian's Salsa CI has a jobs "build-buster-backports" which tries to build lintian off the git repo on buster (i.e. oldstable). It fails since we run the test suite at build time again, but not due to the test suite but due to the unsatisfied build-dependency on "python-dev-is-python3 <!nocheck>", needed for the test suite. For reasons unclear to me, this happens even though we run the build explicitly with "DEB_BUILD_OPTIONS=nocheck". 🤷 Since buster is now officially EoL from Debian proper (i.e. without considering LTS), I wonder if we can just remove that build job from our Salsa CI set of jobs. So unless there are objections, I'll remove the "build-buster-backports" job from Lintian's debian/salsa-ci.yml next weekend.
