Bug#970106: This bug was marked pending but is not mentioned in Git

I usually indicate pending bugs with a commit message, which marks the
bug pending *and* generates a changelog message that closes the bug.
With new releases provided nearly weekly, I found that an acceptable
workflow (while we deal with large numbers of bugs) especially for
this one, which was fixed in Git before being filed. Apparently, some
people disagree.
Perhaps you could also check your draft changelogs against pending
bugs before a release, if you do not already do so. Thanks!
