Not really ;-)
(And /tmp didn't run full either, 40 GB free)

Everything is on defaults, i.e. ulimit -n returns 1024

Wrong package tested? I can reproduce this with
$ lintian nvidia-cuda-dev_10.1.243-7_amd64.deb
(and the just uploaded -8, too)
