Bug#709932: Upcoming changes to Lintian's exit status; new --fail-on option



Hi,

This behavior will soon be reversed. Lintian will exit with status 1
on program errors (thus enabling the use of 'die') and with status 2
on policy violations.

> It would be nice if lintian had an option to exit with a status != 0
> only if there are internal errors.

You will soon have some control via the upcoming '--fail-on'
command-line option. More information may be available here:
