This seems to miss part of my request:
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=932870#17
In addition I think this superficial-only-tests tag should be of a
different severity to testsuite-autopkgtest-missing, perhaps raised to
info or warning level instead of pedantic.
The missing testsuite tag is now at info level, so the superficial
tests tag should be raised to warning level. I'll commit a fix.
$ grep -hrC20 testsuite-autopkgtest-missing /usr/share/lintian
Tag: missing-tests-control
Severity: info
Check: testsuite
Renamed-From:
testsuite-autopkgtest-missing
Explanation: The source package declares the generic <code>Testsuite: autopkgtest</code>
field but provides no <code>debian/tests/control</code> file.
.
The control file is not needed when a specialized test suite such as
<code>autopkgtest-pkg-perl</code> is being used.
